FPV (First-Person View) drones are flown manually through goggles, as if you're sitting in the cockpit. Unlike camera drones, there's no GPS hold or auto-level — it's pure piloting skill. That's what makes FPV footage so cinematic, and it's why we train it on simulators first.

None at all. The programme is built for complete beginners — that's exactly why we start on simulators. If you can play a video game, you can start FPV.

No. All radios, simulators, drones and goggles are provided throughout the programme. You need nothing but yourself.

Yes, with guardian consent.

Fly FPV in full manual (acro) mode, run precision lines and gates, handle emergencies, and film a cinematic FPV shot. Graduates receive a referral pathway to the KCAA Remote Pilot Licence and opportunities with the DroneVerse crew.

Yes. A 50% deposit confirms your seat; the balance is due before Week 3.

Fees are non-refundable after Week 1 but are transferable to the next cohort if your plans change.

Foundations (KES 35,000) is the 6-week simulator course plus ground school and a certificate — no real drone flying. The Pilot Track (KES 85,000) is the full 12 weeks and adds the supervised real-flight phase. Foundations graduates can upgrade to the flight phase later for KES 55,000.

Cohort 1 starts Monday 20 October 2026. Enrollment closes Friday 17 October 2026, and seats are capped at 8 per cohort.

Twelve weeks, two sessions a week, two hours each — about 48 contact hours. Choose the weekday-evening (5–7pm) or Saturday-morning stream.

The DroneVerse Training Room in Nairobi. The exact address is shared on enrolment. Corporate and STEM workshops can be delivered at your venue.

A maximum of 8 students per cohort across 4 simulator stations, so everyone gets real stick time and individual feedback.

Yes, when done correctly. Simulator and classroom phases need no licence. Real flights happen only in the supervised flight phase, conducted under the approvals of our KCAA-approved training partner, with a trained visual observer as the law requires. DroneVerse issues its own certificates. The KCAA Remote Pilot Licence (RPL) is issued through KCAA-approved training organisations — our programme prepares you for it, and our approved training partner handles the licensing pathway for graduates who want it.

Very. You log 20+ hours on the simulator before ever arming a real drone, so the crashes happen on screen. Ground school covers LiPo battery safety, airspace and emergencies, and every real flight is supervised with an observer.
