Why DroneVerse

FPV is the hardest — and most rewarding — way to fly

FPV drones are flown in full manual mode through goggles: the flying behind cinematic chase shots, race footage and one-take fly-throughs. The skills are in real commercial demand. We teach them properly.

🎮

Simulator-first

Log 20+ hours on professional FPV simulators with real radio controllers before you ever arm a real drone. All the crashes happen on screen — not on your wallet.

📋

A real curriculum

Not YouTube guesswork. Twelve structured weeks: simulator foundations → ground school → supervised real flight, with certificates at each stage.

🛡️

Legal & safe

Ground school covers KCAA regulations, and every real flight runs under our KCAA-approved training partner with certified instructors and trained observers.

🚁

Taught by working pilots

Learn from the DroneVerse crew flying commercial FPV shoots across Kenya — the same people, the same gear, the same standards.

The Programme

From goggles-on to graduation in 12 weeks

A deliberate progression. You don't touch a real drone until your hands already know what to do.

Weeks 1–5

Simulator Foundations

Real FPV radios, pro simulators. Hover, turns, precision and freestyle basics — in acro (full manual) mode from week two.

Weeks 6–8

Ground School

KCAA regulations & airspace, drone hardware, LiPo battery safety, flight planning and emergencies. Written exam + Foundations certificate.

Weeks 9–12

Real Flight

Indoor micro-drones, then open-field FPV through goggles. Gates, precision, emergency drills — and your own 30-second cinematic FPV line as a graduation project.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need my own drone?

No. All radios, simulators, drones and goggles are provided throughout the programme.

Is this a KCAA licence course?

DroneVerse issues its own certificates. The KCAA Remote Pilot Licence (RPL) is issued through KCAA-approved training organisations — our programme prepares you for it, and our approved training partner handles the licensing pathway for graduates who want it.

I have zero experience — is that OK?

Yes. The programme is built for complete beginners. That's exactly why we start on simulators.

I'm under 18 — can I join?

Yes, with guardian consent.

Where are classes held?

The DroneVerse Training Room in Nairobi, with weekday-evening and Saturday streams.

When does enrolment close?
