We're building Kenya's most hands-on FPV drone training programme — taught by working pilots, on real gear, to a real standard. Our tagline says it best: Waking the World to the Power of Aerial Geography.
Drones are transforming how Kenya sees itself — from cinematic storytelling and events to mapping, agriculture, inspection and security. But the most demanding and most creative corner of the industry, FPV (First-Person View) flying, has had no serious training pathway locally. Most people learn from scattered YouTube videos and expensive crashes. We built the FPV Academy to change that: a structured, safe, affordable route from complete beginner to confident pilot.
FPV drones fly in full manual (acro) mode — there is no GPS hold and no auto-level to save you. That's what makes FPV so cinematic, and so unforgiving. The only safe and affordable way to build the reflexes is on a professional simulator, using the same radio you'll later fly for real. Our students log 20+ simulator hours before ever arming a drone, so by the time they fly, the crashes have already happened on screen — not on their wallet.
Instruction comes from the DroneVerse crew who fly commercial FPV shoots across Kenya — the same people, the same gear, the same standards you'll be held to. You're not learning theory from a slideshow; you're learning the craft from people who do it for a living.
Ground school covers KCAA regulations, airspace, LiPo battery safety and emergency procedures. Our simulator and classroom phases require no licence. The supervised real-flight phase is delivered under the approvals of a KCAA-approved training organisation, with certified instructors and trained visual observers, fully within Kenyan law. We prepare graduates for the KCAA Remote Pilot Licence (RPL) and guide them along that pathway.
